Touchline Forge 26 is a free live editor for Football Manager 26 (FM26) on Windows. Find and edit players, staff, clubs, competitions and nations while your save is running.
What you can do
Players
- Search
Search by name, club, age, position and ability. View visible and hidden attributes in player profiles.
- Profile and attributes
Edit attributes, positions, traits, personal details, nationalities and languages.
- Contracts
Edit wages and dates. Add, change or remove contract bonuses and clauses.
- Transfers and loans
Manage player moves, signings and loans from their profile.
- Attribute presets
Export attribute presets and import them to apply them to another player.
Staff
- Search
Find staff and your manager by name, club or national team, role and skills.
- Skills and preferences
Edit skills, personality, role and tactical preferences, and formations.
- Identity and qualifications
Edit names and date of birth, languages, nationalities, relationships and coaching qualifications.
- Club and national team contracts
View both jobs and edit wages, dates and supported terms separately.
- Staff moves
Hire, move or release staff in the roles and destinations supported by FM.
Clubs
- Search
Find clubs by name, country, competition, city, stadium, reputation and facilities.
- Profile, stadium and facilities
Edit reputation, morale, attendance and colours, plus the available stadium and facilities fields.
- Finances and agreements
Manage balance, budgets, income, debts, loans and transfer commitments between clubs.
- Relationships and affiliations
Edit rivals, favoured and disliked people, and affiliation agreements between clubs.
- Kits and significant shirt numbers
Edit outfield and goalkeeper kits and the club’s significant shirt numbers; these do not change a player’s shirt number.
- Team actions
Manage tactical familiarity, cohesion, morale, bans, injuries and unhappiness. Collective actions have no general Undo.
Competitions
- Search and identity
Find competitions by name, country or scope, type and gender. Edit names, code and reputation.
- Rules and officials
Choose substitution rules, additional officials, goal-line technology and all-seater requirements.
- Winter ball and VAR
Set the winter ball colour and period, and configure VAR, including No VAR.
Nations and national teams
- Nation and nationality
Edit development, economic factor, nationality residency, dual nationality and languages.
- Men’s and women’s national teams
Manage federation, youth rating, attendance, colours, tactics, stadium and kits separately.
- Actions and history
Confirm available quick actions and restore field and list edits using Undo.
Languages and currencies Use the editor in five language options and view amounts in your save’s currency.

Save from FM to keep your edits. After loading another save, use Refresh data before editing again. Some FM cards may take time to reflect changes; check the full profile.

Version 2.2.3 is an update focused on the issues reported by Steam users. It also fixes Staff languages and player movements, and improves Staff confirmations.
- Search for and select the destination club in one field, with results filtering as you type. “Move to my club” remains available.
- Search for and select a destination national team with its country name and flag.
- Before hiring or releasing staff, a Yes/No confirmation identifies the person, destination and effects on their other job. Irreversible actions have a red warning; No is selected by default and Escape cancels.

Version 2.2.1 fixes save loading on Steam and adds local support logs.
- Fixed Steam save loading that could fail even when FM26 appeared connected.
- If Player loading fails, the program still attempts to load Staff and lets you open Clubs to try loading them separately.
- If you need help, support logs are stored next to the executable. They are not sent automatically.

Shared-stadium edits affect all clubs using the stadium. Team actions have no general Undo. Significant shirt numbers do not change a player’s assigned or preferred number.
For 2.2.0: 64-bit Windows, FM26 with a save loaded and .NET Desktop Runtime 8. Extract the entire RAR into a folder and run TouchlineForge26.V2.exe, keeping all included files together.

Requirements and setup
You need a Windows PC and Football Manager 26 with a save loaded. This FM26 editing tool works with the running game; it is not a pre-game database editor.
Download and first steps
- Download and extract the archiveUse the download button on this page and extract the RAR contents into a folder before opening the program.
- Load your save and connect the editorOpen FM26 and load your save. Then open Touchline; if it does not detect the game, use Reconnect. Once connected, load the save data in the editor.
- Find, edit and save in FMDouble-click a player to open their profile. Confirm your edits and check the result in the game. Save in Football Manager to keep the changes.
